With emergence of mobile
app banking, the medium of transactions may have changed but customers’ trust
& expectation of security from banks remains unchanged.
To see how secure the
banking apps are, we analyzed mobile banking apps of Top 100 banks in India
& APAC, for security loopholes that can compromise users’ financial data.
The results we found were shocking. Most of the mobile banking apps failed and
many didn't employ even the basic security checks expected.
